The Stark group at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) is offering a PhD position in Bioinformatics & NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) data analysis with a focus on understanding the regulation of gene expression.
We are an internationally leading group in genomics and transcription, combining genome-wide experiments, deep sequencing, and bioinformatics analyses. We offer a world-class compute & sequencing infrastructure as well as outstanding support and supervision for your PhD education within the Vienna Biocenter (VBC) PhD Program.
We seek highly motivated individuals with a Masters degree in biology, computer science, bioinformatics or related areas, proficiency in Unix, programming, R, and statistics, and a strong interest in gene regulation. If you are passionate, excited to solve important open questions, and willing to work hard to reach this goal, you’re the ONE!
