Postdoctoral Researcher – Ludwig Boltzmann Cluster Oncology

We are looking for a motivated researcher who is interested to join the lab and group of Peter Valent at the Ludwig Boltzmann Cluster Oncology – LBC ONC (Medical University of Vienna, Austria) as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
The general aim of the LBC ONC is to characterize leukemic stem cells (LSC) in human leukemia, to define target expression profiles in these cells, and to examine the effects of various targeted drugs on growth and survival of LSC. Major topics currently followed in our LBC ONC projects are premalignant neoplastic stem cells, LSC-niche interactions, and checkpoint regulation in LSC.
You will be part of a young international team of scientists working on LSC. As such, your duties will be to conduct specific research projects in the lab, disseminate research results via publications in scientific conferences and journals and to supervise graduate students. You will have the opportunity to improve your skills in our multidisciplinary research environment.
The candidate should have profound training and advanced knowledge in cellular and molecular biology (doctorate degree). Previous experience with stem cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting is desirable. Excellent writing and oral communication skills (English) are required. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with organizational skills who is able to work in a team and to conduct lab projects successfully in our cluster team.
