Science Europe In October 2011 Science Europe, the new umbrella organization for 50 Research Funding and Research Performing Organisations from 25 European countries was founded. Science Europe’s member organisations have expressed their will to cooperate and to jointly contribute to the creation of the European Research Area (ERA). Different from its predecessor, EUROHORCs, Science Europe is based in Brussels, which allows for regular contacts with the European Commission and other important European stakeholders. Currently, six Scientific Committees, covering all scientific disciplines are being set up. The Scientific Committees will allow the Scientific Community to contribute to ongoing science policy debates in a bottom-up manner. |
