Research at the Institute of Food Chemistry and Toxicology is focused on toxicologically relevant mechanisms of action of food constituents.


Duration of employment: 4 years

Duration of employment: 0 months

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.


Job Description:

The position comprises contribution to research, teaching and administration:

- Contribution to install the practical courses in the food chemistry within the new curriculum (master in food chemistry)

- Contribution to research projects, especially to establish a LC-MS/MS method for the detection of mycotoxins in breast milk, studies on the impact of mycotoxins/mycotoxin mixtures on bioavailability and cellular response e.g. in hormonally-dependent cells

- Contribution to publications/scientific talks

- Dissertation agreement is expected within 12-18 months

- Contribution and also independent teaching within the duties of the collective contract

- Working with students

- Contribution to the organisation of meetings, congresses, symposia

- Contribution to administration in the institute, in teaching and research



- Master/diploma in chemistry, food chemistry or related discipline with sound analytical and toxicological education. Team working abilities.


Of additional value:

- Experience in working with LC-MS/MS systems

- Experience with human cell culture

- Teaching experience

- Knowledge of processes and structures of the University

- Experience abroad
