We are looking for an enthusiastic master student with interests in cardiovascular biology, to join our team to investigate the role of fibrotic pathways in human fibroblasts and mouse stem cells and stem cell derived fibroblasts in vitro. We already discovered a novel fibrosis pathway in a mouse model and verified its downstream role in vivo and in vitro in human macropahges. With this project we want to define the generalizability of the pathway.

This AWS-funded project includes in vitro experiments and histological analysis. You will be able to acquire a wide range of technical skills, such as cell culture with primary cells, fluorescence microscopy (confocal and slide scanning microscopy), basic molecular biology techniques (qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, Western Blot) and basics in RNA sequencing.
