at the Department of Physiological Chemistry

We are looking for a university assistant pre-doc for our young, dedicated international team interested in performing microbrome analyzes in the context of metabolic studies in vitro and in vivo.


Duration of employment: 4 years

Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.


Job Description:

Implementation of mol-biol. and chemical-analytical experiments in the field of microbiology using 2D and 3D cell cultures; Experience in the field of odor and taste research beneficial; Establishment of screening assays for the identification of aroma active microbial metabolites, for example: peptides; Literature; Teaching: Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses in the subjects of chemistry and nutrition science in German and English language as defined by the collective agreement.



Completion of a scientific study; Experience in the field of microbiology and cell culture;

Completion of a dissertation agreement within 12-18 months is expected.
