The research group Biochemical Immunotoxicology at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry, Medical University of Innsbruck, invites skilled and motivated researcher to apply for a PhD and/or PostDoc position.

The successful candidate(s) will employ analytical, cell biochemical and molecular techniques in order to investigate tryptophan metabolism and related signaling in both in vitro and serum samples. The candidate(s) will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of (bio)technologists, (bio)chemists and biologists.

 

We offer an excellent working environment and integration between the scientific environments of the MUI and the CCB as well as international collaborations with top labs in the field.

 

Starting date: as soon as possible

 

Profile of the candidate(s):

• Degree in (molecular) biology, (bio)chemistry, biotechnology or equivalent

• Highly motivated, eager to learn and team-oriented

• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English

• You have a specific interest in and motivation for our research topic

• Background in chemical analytical methods is beneficial but not mandatory
