The Carinthian University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with E. C. O. Institute of Ecology launched an International postgraduate Master of Science Program for students, managers and employees of organizations tackling inter – and transdisciplinary challenges to manage effectively conservation areas. Around 30 internationally recognized experts, lecturers with theoretical and practical knowledge will be working with students. Every lesson has innovative teaching approaches as well as, peer-to-peer learning and individual interaction with trainers and lecturers to develop relevant competences.
After completing the MSc Program, the manager and decision makers of conservation areas will be able to fully promote and understand biodiversity conservation and its contribution to sustainable development. The knowledge will be applicable worldwide and hence will have a strong focus on development cooperation.
The duration of the University program is 4 terms (2 years) and 19 courses. All courses requiring your presence are conducted in eight blocks( in total days of presence 64 days). It allows to combine the training without interruption of your employment. Substantial components of the program are provided by e-learning. Courses requiring your presence will be held in different venues: seminar facilities of different parks and conservation areas in central Europe.
Applications open to Bachelor / Master students in Ecology, Environmental Sciences; Managers and specialists of different background working in consulting, planning and scientific sectors;
Tuition fee: € 12.900,-
The application procedure is based on submission of documents and a subsequent oral interview (personal, skype).
