FWF Supports Open Knowledge Maps

The FWF has been a strong advocate for open access to scientific knowledge for many years. To further increase its support in this area, starting in 2023, the FWF will be the first research funding agency to support the Austrian-developed online platform Open Knowledge Maps, the world's largest visual search engine for research outputs. 

Starting in 2023, the FWF will be supporting Open Knowledge Maps, the world's largest visual search engine for research outputs. This platform provides the scientific community with a range of open-access services, increasing the visibility of research results for both the scientific community and society as a whole. By funding the search engine, the FWF is strengthening its commitment to supporting open-access publication and research information systems. Find out more: Open Access Infrastructures (fwf.ac.at).
