I provide public access to my publications to allow underrepresented and unprivileged groups, like students having only inferior access to scientific journals, or researchers from developing countries but also interested lay people an access to scientific insight.

The reasons for this are obvious.

1. Research is intimately tied to communication because research generates knowledge that can only achieve relevance if shared by many.

2. My research is funded by public authorities. The public audience has therefore a right to get an impression of my results.

3. Research quality is optimised via criticism. Without access to my results and my conclusions no criticism and optimisation of my research would be possible.
