Short Description

In celebration of its 50th birthday, the Austrian Science Fund FWF will organise Austria’s biggest open-air science event during the Austrian EU Council Presidency from 8 to 12 September 2018. Visitors can look forward to interactive science stations, panel discussions and special events on Vienna’s Maria-Theresien-Platz.

The BE OPEN - Science Society Festival will be held under the patronage of the Austrian Federal President, Alexander Van der Bellen.

The Wittgenstein Award and Start Prizes will be awarded as part of a concluding celebration at the festival grounds on Wednesday, 12 September.

The FFG FORUM, which will be held on 13 September in Museumsquartier, marks another highlight.
