Call for Proposals for Quantum Research and Technology (QFTE)
- 2019-06-11 / 00:01 CET
- 2019-09-24 / 14:59 CET
- Stamp Validity
From 11 June 2019 to 24 September 2019 (date of postmark), applicants will have the opportunity to apply within QFTE to the FFG (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) and FWF (Austrian Science Fund) funding organisations for support for defined research and development measures.
With this national call, the FWF is offering funding for thematically clearly defined research projects in the field of quantum technologies which possess the potential for application and promote the transfer of knowledge from basic research to the development and application of these technologies. The maximum term is three years.
The FFG offers funding for cooperative research and development projects. Research institutions and companies jointly define an application-oriented project in the field of quantum research and technology. The requirement is the involvement of at least one Austrian company. The maximum term is three years.
Furthermore, the Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH (AWS) is available for consulting concerning, e.g., start-up financing, property rights, as well as technology research.
Submission will only be possible at the respective funding organisation. Funding decisions about FWF-funded projects will be made in the FWF Board's session in March 2020. The FFG Jury meeting will take place in December 2019 or January 2020.
For both measures, the FWF and the FFG have a budget of around €4.5m at their disposal. The funds will be granted by the Austrian National Foundation.
