1000 Ideas Programme: Start of 1st Call for Applications

Short Description

The FWF started the first call for applications in the 1000 Ideas programme on 14 November 2019.

Researchers can now receive funding for completely new, daring or particularly original research ideas that extend beyond the current scientific understanding in a first call for proposals launched by the FWF. The key aim is to investigate future-oriented research topics with high scientific and transformative potential.

Project applications must be submitted in English by the research institution of the project leader no later than 15 January 2020, 14:00 local time (Vienna/Austria) via the electronic application portal of the FWF elane.

The final funding decisions will be made at the end of June 2020 on the basis of funding recommendations and defined assessment criteria of the international 1000 ideas jury.
