Extended Call for Proposals: Urgent Funding SARS-CoV-2

From 6th April 2020 to 31March March 2021 projects for research on humanitarian crises such as epidemics and pandemics directly related to the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic can be submitted within existing FWF programmes.
The submission of thematically appropriate research projects is possible in the following programmes:
Stand-Alone Projects, Programme Clinical Research (KLIF) and International Programmes (Joint Projects, only if the FWF acts as lead agency; Update 17. Sept. 2020: deadline for Joint Projects: 15 December 2020), Erwin Schrödinger Fellowships including a return phase and Lise Meitner Programme.
Applications under this call for proposals must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines and forms of the relevant programme. The relevance of the submitted application to the topic of the call for proposals must be specified on an additional call-specific form. This form must be uploaded together with the application in elane.
The FWF Board will make ongoing funding decisions for this call. The respective decision-making procedures are described in the application guidelines for the various funding programmes. The FWF will give priority to application processing and quality assessment in the context of this urgent funding initiative in order to support promising projects as soon as possible.
