A PhD thesis position is available in the group of Prof. Dr. Lukas Kenner at the Institute of Clinical Pathology, Medical University of Vienna at the newly funded Christian Doppler Laboratory for Applied Metabolomics.
In the new CD laboratory the basics of non-invasive in vivo pathology in the sense of precision medicine will be developed. With the help of learning algorithms innovative PET imaging, histo-pathological investigations, analyses of therapy- and prognostic-relevant genetic mutations as well as clinical data will be combined. The experimental focus of this work will be Western blots, qRT-PCR, CRISPR knock-out, 3D tumor modeling, transgenic mouse work, flow cytometry and cell culture.
We are looking for a highly motivated student with strong interest in laboratory work and experience in cell- and molecular biology bench work. The student should also have good communication skills and be able to work in a team.
