Senior Scientist

at the Department of Analytical Chemistry

Our team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Scientist. We offer a challenging scientific environment and a good working atmosphere.

The employment is initially limited to 3 years and is intended for permanent employment.

 

Duration of employment: 3 year/s

Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

 

Job Description:

- Accomplishment of research projects in the field of analytical chemistry focusing on metabolomics /lipidomics and mass spectrometry

- Laboratory management (clean room environment equipped with multi-dimensional chromatography and high resolution mass spectrometry)

- Assistance in the supervision of PhD and master students

- Independent teaching activity (teaching load specified in the collective agreement)

 

Profile:

- PhD degree in Chemistry or equivalent, preferably in analytical chemistry. Expertise in mass spectrometry

- Knowledge in the field of lipidomics/ metabolomics using LC Orbitrap MS and LC-MS/MS

- High ranking publications

-Team player, experience in academic teaching

- Profound verbal and written skills
