3D-bioprinted tumor-on-chip model for studying tumor angiogenesis and metastasis in vitro
Our group works on additive biofabrication of living tissue and we developed a novel strategy to 3D-bioprint perfused hydrogel structures in custom-designed fluidic chips. Thereby, we design standardized, human tissue equivalents for testing of drugs, which will refine and in the best case replace animal experiments for studying angiogenesis in tumor tissue and tumor environment.
We invite applications from highly motivated students with profound experience in cell culture and molecular biology and/or students with a technical background and interest in molecular biology to join our research team at the 3D bioprinting lab (https://www.i-med.ac.at/bioprinting/index.html.de) at the Medical University Innsbruck.
Requirements:
MSc in biology, biotechnology or similar field
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Excellent verbal, written, organizational and time management skills
Candidates should be fluent in English, basic knowledge in German language is beneficial
Please send your application including motivation letter, CV, and names and addresses of two references in a single pdf file (maximum size 5 MB) to judith.hagenbuchner(at)i-med.ac.at
We offer the possibility to join the PhD School of the Medical University Innsbruck (https://phd-school.i-med.ac.at/)
