Postdocs and PhD students

We offer an opportunity for a skilled postdoc or PhD student with a background in boundary element methods for solving partial differential equations. We aim at a full time-dependent solution of the Smoluchowski equation for a pair of particles under a uniform shear strain. The postdoc position is for 2 years. Alternatively position may be filled by a PhD candidate for 3-4 years which includes teaching duties. As the bachelor curriculum is in German, in this case skills in the German language are advantageous.

Analytical and numerical skills are essential, additional simulational skills are welcome. The project is also suitable for researchers with a degree in mathematics with specialization on numerical analysis.
