Research Technical Assistant - Cardiovascular Immunology
Our group
Our group studies the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, with a particular focus on the contribution of inflammation and the immune system. The ultimate goal is to gain a deeper understanding of the immunological mechanisms that drive disease progression to identify and evaluate putative therapeutic targets in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular and related diseases.
Your responsibilities:
You will become a core member of our team, supporting and enabling our ongoing research projects.
You will perform cell culture, Implementation of FACS analysis, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR, SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, as well as biostatistical data analysis and laboratory management.
You will establish wet-lab operations in the team, supported by post graduate researchers of our group.
You will be involved in performing animal experiments and will help to maintain mice colony and patients samples collection.
You will ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and good laboratory practice
Your profile:
Experience with techniques mentioned above is strongly desired.
A Felasa certificate is considered a plus.
Reliable and independent way of working
Friendly, open demeanor and ability to work in a team
Good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
Exceptional organization skills, ability to problem solve, work independently and communicate clearly are essential

A fair and attractive salary package starting at € 2.699 gross on full-time basis with a view to increase based on your qualification and experience. Part time contracts are possible.
Temporary position for 1 year with option to extend.
