Your tasks:

- independent, high level research in the field of molecular mycology with a special focus on interactions of fungi with other microbes and secondary metabolism

- application for and realisation of research projects and participation in research projects of the working group

- independent writing of scientfic publications and presentations

- teaching of courses in the Faculty of Biology, (co-) supervision of students

- participation in organisational and administrative tasks of the working group and the institute

- continuing eductation

Your profile:

- PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biotechnology or in a related field

- Proven publication experience in relevant international journals

- experience in the field of molecular mycology, microbial interactions, or fungal secondary metabolism and bioinformatic methods is an advantage

- experience in teaching and student (co-)supervision is desirable

- excellent knowledge of English and preferably also German

- high motivation, ability to work under pressure, organisational talent and problem-solving skills

- independent, cooperative and team-oriented working style
