Study on the direct and indirect economic impact of research results

The FWF invited tenders for a "Study on the economic impact of re-search results from FWF-funded projects" in June 2023. After evaluation by a jury and a decision by the FWF Executive Board, a consortium consisting of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research Vienna (WIFO), Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) and Joanneum Research was awarded the contract.

The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) invited tenders for a "Study on the economic impact of re-search results from FWF-funded projects" in June 2023. The FWF received three bids from two countries. After evaluation by a jury and a decision by the FWF Executive Board, a consortium consisting of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research Vienna (WIFO), Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) and Joanneum Research was awarded the contract. The contract is worth € 95,000. The final results and their publication are expected in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The tender procedure was carried out in accordance with the (i) FWF rules on the quality and transparency of evaluations, studies and research policy services and the (ii) evaluation standards of the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation (fteval).
