Lab technician
We are an interdisciplinary team of biologists and biotechnologists in the non-clinical research unit of the Medical University of Vienna at MedAustron (Wiener Neustadt). We are keen on harnessing particle radiation to devise new treatment strategies for cancer: www.sladelab.org.
We are looking for an experienced technical assistant with a BSc or MSc degree in Biology, Biotechnology or Biomedical Sciences. This position entails active contribution to research projects that involve mouse and cell culture experiments. Additional tasks include: ordering, preparation of reagents, lab organization, safety and quality management.
Experience with mouse work is highly desirable, expertise in the following techniques is advantageous: mouse tumor models, cell culture and molecular biology. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential, as well as a good command of the English language. We are looking for a team player with willingness to acquire new skills, collaborate and support various projects.
The position is initially for 2 years with the possibility of becoming permanent (unbefristet). The start date is ASAP. The contract is for 40h/week with the minimum salary of 2709,60€ (brutto)/month depending on the work experience and according to the collective agreement of the Medical University of Vienna (category IIIB).
