Post-Doc

We are offering a fully-funded post-doc position in the field of transplantation immunology. Our research team is focusing on novel cell therapies for immunomodulation in organ transplantation.

In an ongoing clinical trial, we are investigating the application of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in kidney transplantation (https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT03867617). The trial is the direct translation of a protocol we developed in experimental (murine) models (reviewed in: 10.1097/TP.0000000000004814). Currently, we continue to advance these protocols by exploring a newly designed CAR Treg cell for modulating the alloresponse. Our lab has long-standing collaborations with the clinical transplant programs at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien)/Medical University of Vienna providing an excellent environment for clinical translation of relevant results.

We look for candidates (PhD completed or near completion) that are enthusiastic about performing translational research in the field of immunology. The selected candidate will be offered a three-year, university-funded contract (full-time 40hrs/week) with the possibility of extension. Salary will be based on the ‘Kollektivvertrag’ for employees at Austrian universities.
