Post-doc/Transplantation Immunology

We look for a new member of our team (PhD or MD-PhD) that has experience in immunological research (including animal models), has published their work in peer-reviewed journals and is interested in research in the field of transplantation immunology.

Our research focuses on the induction of chimerism-based transplantation tolerance and on immunomodulation through (CAR) Treg therapy. We perform experimental (murine transplant models) and clinical research (e.g. clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT03867617). Numerous national and international collaborations and the close interaction with the clinical transplant programs at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien) provide an attractive research environment and the opportunity for clinical translation of relevant results.

The selected candidate will be offered a three-year, university-funded contract (full-time 40hrs/week) with the possibility of extension. Salary will be based on the ‘Kollektivvertrag’ for employees at Austrian universities.
