Senior Researcher / Team Lead (f/m/d): Human-Centered Transitional Visualization

VRVis, a non-profit research center for visual computing in Vienna, Austria, is looking for a Senior Researcher (Post Doc Level) with leadership experience to establish and lead a research group at the interface between Visual Analytics, Extended Reality and AI, as well as the internal coordination and external representation of VRVis’ research area „Human-Centered Transitional Visualization“.

Your qualification:

- Completed doctorate (Dr., PhD.) in the field of visual computing, or a comparable qualification relevant to VRVis (e.g. industrial experience)

- Scientific expertise in one, at best in several of the mentioned or related research areas of visual computing:

* Extended Reality

* Artificial Intelligence with Applications in Visual Computing

* Emerging Display and Interaction Technologies

* Human-Centered Design

* Visual / Immersive Analytics

- Experience in team- and project-management

- Experience in the acquisition of applied research projects.

- Experience in co-operation with partners from the private sector, industry and/or the public sector. Management experience of international scientific projects is an advantage.

- Excellent English. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
