Dear all,

we are happy to fill a fully-funded PhD position on applied Machine Learning for Building Control Automation at the Department of Computer Science (research group Quality Engineering) at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. The PhD will be in the field of ML for *Digital Twins* of buildings, particularly focusing on the application of reinforcement learning for the automation of building control.

 

What we offer

The position to be filled for up to 3 years, available from July 1st, 2024. You will be working together on an exciting and timely topic, embedded in a dedicated team of researchers - together with other PhD students and senior researchers, but also partners from industry.

Your profile

We are looking for highly motivated students with a background in Machine Learning and Building Information Modeling (if applicable), holding a Master’s degree (or equivalent). Candidates should have a command in programming and algorithmic curation.
