A Master Thesis Position in “Cancer Research / Tumor Immunology” is available at the Center for Cancer Research (Medical University of Vienna).

Research:

The Herndler-Brandstetter Lab is using highly innovative humanized mouse models (MISTRG-6) and patient-derived tumor xenografts (PDXs) to investigate the functional significance of human colorectal cancer heterogeneity and to identify efficient myeloid-targeted therapies.

Requirements:

- Bachelor in biology, biotechnology, immunology or a related discipline

- High level of motivation and a strong interest in cancer research / tumor immunology

- Work experience is a plus (e.g., flow cytometry, mouse handling, bioinformatics)

We offer:

- An exciting research project at the Center for Cancer Research located at the Vienna Medical Campus with access to state-of-the-art technologies (PDX models, humanized mice, spectral flow cytometry, multiplex imaging / spatial profiling)

- A stipend for the 9-12 months of the Master’s Thesis
