The FWF is funding ten knowledge transfer events in 2026, all of which will be implemented by and with researchers from collaborative FWF projects. Whether it’s a symposium, a networking conference, or a matchmaking event – the series of events is open to all topics and includes various formats. One key component they all have in common is the active involvement of stakeholders from research, the business community, industry, and society.
Knowledge transfer events are created, organized, and implemented independently by researchers from FWF’s collaborative programs. Events are held either directly at the research institutions or at other suitable locations. The involvement of stakeholders from business, industry, and/or society in the program of the respective event is a key element. Based on a call issued in the fall of 2025, the expert jury selected ten event formats that will receive up to €15,000 from the FWF, with funding from the National Foundation for Research, Technology and Development.
Bringing research expertise to society
The aim of the event series is to share the knowledge gained in collaborative FWF research projects with various experts from science, business, industry, and/or society. The events are meant to build networks and create opportunities for exchange, bringing research findings to society and encouraging practical innovations and solutions.
