Final report
The project aimed to visualise the individual movement pattern of the knee joint in motion. Out of static magnetic
resonance images of the joint in combination with movie sequences in standardised motion, all structures of the
knee can be visualised and the 3D movement pattern can be evaluated on an individual basis. This will provide the
framework to take the next step in our work, trying to evaluate the impact of ligament injury and surgical
reconstruction on the individual movement pattern, allowing us to create a tool to perform personalised
reconstructive knee surgery.
