The COVID-19 pandemic crisis has changed our daily lives and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. After the lock-down phase and the implementation of the shelter-in-place policies, the focus now lies on tracking the routes of COVID-19, warning immunocompromised people and people belonging to risk groups, and isolating those who are infected as well as family members/people living in the same household. This new situation requires new or adapted logistical concepts. On the one hand, isolated people need regular home deliveries, on the other hand, the containment strategy based on traceability will also lead to increased demand for corona testing. With all of these planning challenges, physical distancing must still be observed or physical interaction with people must be further reduced. As a result, suppliers of goods and test teams should work in homogeneous shifts and shift schedules must be correspondingly robust. The approved Akut-project will develop new logistical planning methods, on the one hand, for the implementation of shelter-in-place or stay-at-home policies for citizens and, on the other hand, for the required increase in tests.
The COVID-19 pandemic crisis has changed our daily lives and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. After the lock-down phase and the implementation of the "shelter-in-place" policies, the focus now lies on tracking the routes of COVID-19, warning immunocompromised people and people belonging to risk groups, and isolating those who are infected as well as family members/people living in the same household.
