Abstract
In the context of the topic of "post-metaphysical thinking and religion", Jürgen Habermas has also
devoted special attention to Kant`s philosophy of religion and recognised in it a "crossroads of post-
metaphysical thinking". His most recent reflections on this primarily revolve around the relationship
between "faith and knowledge" in Kant.
The first part of the book first brings to mind those fundamental differentiations of Kantian ethics
and philosophy of religion that play a central role in Habermas` critique of Kant. In the second part,
his interpretation and critique of Kant`s philosophy of religion - based on the Kantian central thesis
that "morality inevitably leads to religion" - is subjected to a detailed critique close to the text.
