The Tsiantoulas lab is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Research Technical Assistant to join our international team. Our research focuses on the cutting-edge field of cardiovascular immunology, specifically investigating how the immune system drives cardiovascular diseases—the leading cause of mortality worldwide.

This role offers a unique blend of high-level scientific research and laboratory management, providing the opportunity to master a diverse array of experimental techniques in a supportive, enthousiastic environment.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will be an integral part of our scientific discovery process, contributing to projects that utilize state-of-the-art technologies. Your duties will include:

• Experimental Support: Performing and assisting with histology, immunohistochemistry, advanced microscopy and flow cytometry.

• In Vivo Research: Contributing to studies involving genetically modified mouse models.

• Lab Management: Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and managing laboratory protocols.

The Ideal Profile

We are looking for a proactive team player who meets the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Previous hands-on experience in a research laboratory is essential.

• Technical Skills: Experience in histology and/or animal research (FELASA B or equivalent) is a significant advantage.

• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently.

• Communication: Good German and English skills (written and spoken) are required.
