From the beginning of 1998 F m going to work on " The History of the Austrian-Hungarian Negotiations` on Liquidating the Common Property of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy" in the Austrian National Archives. I will study the files of the Ministry of Finance and Foreign Affairs (Department of Economic Policy) and those of the New Political Archives and International Law and the original states documents (Staatsurkunden). F would like to work at National Library and the Historical Library of the University Vienna. 1 m planning a four-chapter book on the above mentioned topic. In the first chapter 1 focus on the determination of the common property of the former Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, and in the second chapter I examine the liquidation of the Common Central Offices. The most important part of my research is the examination of the activity of the Austrian- Hungarian Arbitral Tribunal in Lausanne (Chapter III), which I regard as the fundamental importance in the research topic. In this chapter I concentrate on the process of the negotiations on the liquidity of the Austro-Hungarian Common Property: 1 . The antecedents of the 1925 Agreement of Austrian-Hungarian Arbitral Tribunal (Peace-Treaties, Venice Protokol, Budapest Treaty etc.) 2The activity and decisions of the Austro-Hungarian Arbitral Tribunal between 1920-1930 (Laurana, Baden and Lugano, etc.) 3.From September 15, 1930 the debatte-material and Agreement of International Austro-Hungarian Arbitral Tribunal in ausanne till 1938. In the last chapter I examine the results of the 1939 Berlin Agreement. I would like to summarize my research and I present the remaining controversial issues. I will finish the manuscript by the end of 1998.
