Project number: Research project P 12677 Project title: Polyketidesynthesis ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT The physiologically highly active for the clinical application interesting polyketide natural products are to be procured by total synthesis on efficient routes in stereopure form. The syntheses should be suitable for the preparation of important analogues with respect to the determination of the pharmacophor and clinical applications. The drugs which will be available in this way shall be tested in competent laboratories with respect to their pharmacological properties and may contribute to new approaches to tumor therapy and immunology.
