The subject-matter of the research project is to prepare and to work on the second edition of a standard legal commentary of the Austrian administrative procedural law. The title of the first edition, which has been edited by Prof. Dr. Kurt Ringhofer, is "Austrian Administrative Procedure Act", Volume 2. The commentary shall cover the text of the relevant procedural laws with scientific annotations and explanations and a complete documentation of the relevant judgements, which have been rendered to the different administrative procedure acts (especially to the administrative punishment procedure act, the administrative enforcement procedure act, the public service procedure act and to the administrative agricultural procedure act) . The vast amount of judgements has first to be read, selected and systematically organised. In a second step the most important positions found in the judgements have to be formulated as clear and easily understandable restatements, which provide the reader with quick and reliable information. In addition to the work on the judgements, as described above, it is necessary to make explaining annotations to the procedural acts themselves and to show the reader the important relations within the procedural acts and in relation to other relevant statutes. The book will also cover the administrative rules which have been enacted by the administrative authorities for the enforcement of the procedural acts. The reader will be granted clear and reliable information on the procedural acts and all important judgements in connection with these acts. The book is appropriate for all law professions, esp. for lawyers, administrative officials, justices of the Administrative Court and of the Constitutional Court and, of course, also for the academia. A current book of this kind is presently not available.
