Edition of F.W.J. Schelling´s writing to the controversy about theism (1812)

Within the scope of this project F.W.J. Schellings work Denkmal der Schrift von den göttlichen Din- gen etc. des Herrn Friedrich Heinrich Jacobi und der ihm in derselben gemachten Beschuldigung eines absichtlich täuschenden, Lüge redenden Atheismus is edited, which is written 1812. The project makes a contribution to the still outstanding interpretation of Schellings philosophy in the year 1812 by providing a reliable textual basis. Editorial introductions disclose the little-known formative con- texts of the text and their sometimes extensive history of reception, explanatory comments throw light upon the references and the contexts of debates of the texts. One important aspect of the project is to edit the philosophy of religion that Schelling developed between 1801 and 1812. As a result this phi- losophy of religion can be opened up for the adequate appreciation in the history of theology and phi- losophy.
