The Data Fidelity Crisis

Modern medicine is paralyzed by a massive data quality problem. Current diagnostic methods rely on delayed, noisy signals, detecting fragments of disease only after cells have already died or malfunctioned. It is the biological equivalent of trying to detect a fire by searching for cold ashes. Working with this delayed, low-fidelity data creates massive "gray zones" of uncertainty, forcing doctors to rely on subjective guesswork in critical areas like IVF, Alzheimer’s, and Oncology.

Our Paradigm Shift: Biology is the Vehicle. Data is the Product.

PILVIAN exists to replace this clinical guesswork with pure mathematical certainty. Validated and patented by the Medical University of Vienna, our breakthrough technology bypasses these delayed signals entirely. Instead, we intercept the body's data at the absolute root—reading the actual "on/off" switches of the genes before the damage even occurs. For an AI and data expert, this means we capture an incredibly clean, high-fidelity signal that achieves near-perfect predictive accuracy (AUC ~1.00).

However, we are NOT a physical test manufacturer. Biology is simply the vehicle to acquire the signal; proprietary data is our actual product. We are a Life Sciences Data Company. We license our proprietary AI diagnostic engines to clinical networks via a decentralized, highly scalable cloud pipeline.

Our ultimate competitive moat is our Data Flywheel. Every physical sample processed by our global laboratory partners securely routes raw sequencing data back to us, permanently training and sharpening our centralized cloud algorithms. We are building an insurmountable biological data monopoly that traditional biotech competitors cannot replicate.  

The Role: What You Will Build

As our technical Co-Founder, you will not inherit legacy code or corporate bureaucracy. You will architect the core intelligence engine that powers the entire enterprise.

• Architect the Core Engine: Design, build, and deploy the global, diagnostic Cloud AI processing infrastructure from the ground up.
   
• Power the Data Flywheel: Develop secure, highly scalable backend architectures capable of seamlessly ingesting raw Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data via APIs from decentralized 3rd-party labs, such as Novogene.
   
• Machine Learning & Bioinformatics: Design, train, and deploy advanced ML models capable of deep algorithmic mapping and biological interpretation across an entirely new class of small RNAs, comprising ~5,500 proprietary Mirxon signatures.
   
• Full-Stack Inception: Take absolute ownership of early database creation, rigorous security architecture (Privacy by Design, strict GDPR/HIPAA compliance), initial web-facing endpoints and implement a web presence.
   
• Shape the Engineering Culture: Establish unyielding engineering standards and code-quality baselines, laying the strategic groundwork to hire and lead an elite technical team as we aggressively scale toward Series A.

What You Bring: The Qualifications & Execution Mindset

• Education: A Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Databases, preferably in Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology.
   
• Technical Fluency: Deep, hands-on experience or competency in building, scaling, and deploying production-grade machine learning models (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). You possess a true "AI-first" builder mentality.
   
• The Founder’s Mindset: A uniquely high tolerance for early-stage ambiguity, an unrelenting entrepreneurial drive to build from zero to one, and a firm, strategic understanding that robust data architecture is the ultimate business enabler.

If employed only, the following compensation applies: Minimum EUR 45,738 gross annually based on IT Collective Agreement.
