Austrian Science Awards 2025


Around 500 guests from science and research gathered in the arcaded courtyard of Vienna City Hall on June 25, 2025 to honor pioneering scientific achievements, including the first ever FWF ASTRA Awards.

The presentation of the Austrian Science Awards is an annual highlight for the Austrian scientific community. At the award ceremony, the FWF honors researchers for their innovative, international-level achievements, presenting them with Austria’s most highly endowed science awards. In 2025, the celebration took place in the arcaded courtyard of Vienna City Hall.
