Target group
The funding program is aimed at researchers working in the field of quantum physics at universities, non-academic research institutions, and research departments in related sectors.
Funding goals
QuantERA aims to encourage and stimulate excellent research in quantum technologies by funding outstanding research ideas that have the potential to establish and develop new areas in this field.
Funding period and funding amount
The maximum funding period is 36 months.
The FWF does not generally impose limits on the amount requested, but due to the limited participation budget, it expects Austrian applicants not to request amounts exceeding those for Principal Investigator Projects (typically €300,000 to €450,000).
