Abstract
The project under consideration for the first time comprises the vocabularies (lat. - germ. - czech) written for
Hapsburgs in the XVth century. This opens new perspectives it be the so called "Maximilianlehrbücher" or the
oldest printing traditions. It comes out that even in the XVth century a cultural descent existed from Bohemia to
Austria and that no courtly type of Glossary existed. The only orientation was everyday language following advices
by Aeneas Silvius Piccolomini.
The commentary is followed by an edition of the manuscripts Cod. pal. lat. 1787 (Rome, Biblioteca Apostolica
Vaticana) CVP 2868 resp. 2945 (both Vienna, Nationalbibliothek) and the Viennese Dictionarius, a print of 1513.
This will bring new materials as a reliable base for further research in linguistics and cultural history.
