The problematic field of "Damages for nervous shock and bereavement" gave place for two book projects. This
second project has got a completely different contents. It is less theoretical and more interessant for the practical
view of discussion. With 150 pages it is a unique collection of case law related to this topic. It contains the most
important decisions of supreme courts but also jurisdiction of lower courts in Austria, Germany, Switzerland,
France and England. The decisions are divided into three big chapters: Relationship between close family members,
other relatives and non-relatives. In these chapters there is a division between the country reports. Each decision is
marked with a few key words for a recent overview.
These materials are a good basic for discussions and important for the future jurisdiction in Austria. We can learn a
lot of international comparison of the law making process in courts. It is a remarkable case law study with the
comment of lectures and the author.
