Österreichische Theatertopographie 1918-1938

It was the aim of this project to give a general idea of the history of Austrian Theatre in the First Republic. By the means of basic research until now not edited sources should on the one hand be documented and recorded and on the other hand be made available for further usage in a scientific database. The data recorded by research are now to be found in three databases of Microsoft access. These materials have been taken from the city archive of Vienna, the city library of Vienna, the Austrian state archive, the Austrian national library (theatre collection, photograph collection), the archive of Lower Austria, the archive of Carinthia, and the city archive of St. Pölten. Furthermore we compiled extensive bibliographies and lists of inventory of the Viennese city library and the theatre collection of the National Library, which can be used for further research on the history of Austrian theatre between the wars. In addition we issued a selective bibliography of this subject.
