Final report
The present final report refers to the continuation of the research project `Ladinian Linguistic Atlas, second part` for
the period 2004-2008. During this time work has been done in two domains: 1st: in the domain of general
fieldwork (dialect explorations) which could be completed until fall 2007; 2nd: in the domain of the computerized
entry (and subsequent control) of the collected field data. This domain could be accomplished at the beginning of
2008. Immediately after we could start the final redaction and editing of the ca. 1500 linguistic maps of ALD-II.
Since 1-9-2007 the present project founding existed in parallel to the FWF project founding 20047. Alongside to
the fieldwork and the computerized data entry there was an intensive programming activity in order to develop the
general software of ALD-II called DMG (`Dialect Map Generator`).The further elaboration and refinement of the
program DMG have been ensured by Edgar Haimerl and his main cooperators Andreas Wagner and Fabio
Tosques. Another sector of activity was the development and filling up of a special database for the sound
recordings executed during the dialect explorations.
Fieldwork: Ilaria Adami, Helga Böhmer, Liza Klinger, Tino Szekely, Walter Strauß, Paul Videsott.
Data entry and control: Ilaria Adami, Liza Klinger, Gertraud Klingler, Brigitte Rührlinger, Pavel Smecka, Paul
