Master student

We have an open position for a Master's thesis student in the area of purinergic receptors in inflammatory lung disease. We have previously identified a cell type-specific role of P2RY2 in HDM-induced asthma mouse models. This Master's thesis project aims to investigate the role of other purinergic receptors using different conditional knockout mouse models of inflammatory lung disease.

The project will involve a wide range of standard molecular biology techniques, including genotyping, multiplex assays, cell culture, FACS analysis and work with mice as a model organism.

We expect applicants to confidently use English in written and spoken forms, be highly motivated and to interact and collaborate with other staff and students. We offer the position for a duration of 6-12 months, depending on the work progress.

Requirements:

Applicants should ideally hold a bachelor degree in biomedical sciences (biology, genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology) or in a related field.

Highly motivated and strongly interested in the field of immunology and pulmonary disease.

Work experience is a plus (e.g., flow cytometry, mouse handling).
