Call for Tenders for an Evaluation of the 1000 Ideas Program

The FWF is inviting tenders for an evaluation of the FWF’s 1000 Ideas program. The evaluation should focus mainly on the question of whether projects funded by this program address novel, forward-looking topics that are highly relevant for science, research and, ideally, society. They should have the potential to transform existing fields of research and/or fundamentally challenge established paradigms in science and research.

This call for tenders has been prepared in accordance with (i) the FWF’s Rules on Quality and Transparency for Evaluations and (ii) the Evaluation Standards in Research and Technology Policy developed by the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation (fteval). These standards apply to all companies and organizations submitting tenders.

The deadline for submission of tenders is July 4, 2025.
