FWF Personnel Cost Rates to Include New Category

Salaries and personnel cost rates are adjusted for inflation on a regular basis. This year, to account for changing conditions at research institutions, the FWF has also introduced a new category of employment contract. With this category, applicants can request FWF funding to employ personnel with special scientific qualifications known as scientific experts to perform project-specific tasks.

Scientific experts can be, for example, data stewards, programmers, or coordinators for clinical studies. Effective immediately, the category is available for new applications or can be requested as a type of employment contract for hiring staff in ongoing FWF-funded projects.
