New Funding Agreement with Slovakia

International cooperation opens up more opportunities for researchers, pools expertise, and strengthens scientific excellence across national borders. A new agreement between the Slovakian funding organization APVV and the FWF creates additional cross-border funding opportunities: In future, researchers from Austria and Slovakia will be able to implement bilateral projects more easily.

The FWF has signed an agreement with the Slovakian funding organization Slovak Research and Development Agency (APVV). The agreement creates new opportunities for scientific collaboration between Austria and Slovakia. For the first time, cross-border projects in all disciplines can be funded by both countries together. Parallel applications for the Austrian and Slovakian parts of the project must be submitted to the both funding organizations. The application deadline for this new collaborative program will be announced in July.
