Study Commissioned: Evaluation of the Specialized Research Groups Program

The FWF invited bids for an evaluation of the Specialized Research Groups program in March 2026. After evaluation by a jury and a decision by the FWF Executive Board, the contract was awarded to the Technopolis Group.

The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) issued a tender for the evaluation of the Special Research Groups program in March 2026. The FWF received four bids from two countries. After evaluation by a jury and a decision by the FWF Executive Board, the €90,000 contract was awarded to the Technopolis Group. The final results are expected to be ready for publication in the second quarter of 2027.

The tender was in compliance with the FWF’s rules on the quality and transparency of evaluations, studies, and research policy services and the evaluation standards of the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation (fteval).
