The FWF’s goal is to provide researchers with the best possible support to pursue their excellent work at Austria’s universities and non-university research institutions – through funding that offers creative freedom and good conditions. Making research careers an attractive option is particularly relevant, especially for early-stage academics like postdocs.

The FWF is currently conducting an online survey to gain insights into researchers’ professional environments and the role of FWF funding.

Take the FWF survey until the end of May

Are you a researcher and familiar with current working conditions in science? Have you applied for FWF funding in the past or are you planning to apply in the future? Then we would be very grateful if you could take 20 minutes of your time share your experiences and opinions. Your feedback will help us get a comprehensive impression of the current morale among Austrian researchers, and allow the FWF to continue to tailor its funding portfolio to the needs of researchers in the future. The survey is being conducted by Spectra Marktforschungsgesellschaft mbH (Linz) on behalf of the FWF, and results will be published in the fall of 2025.

The survey will also be distributed by universities and all major non-university research institutions.
